I had occassion recently to read the code of conduct for an Evangelical Christian school. They had a list of transgressions and the number of demerits that would accrue for each offense. If you obtained a requesite number of demerits, you were expelled. What struck me when I read this list was how impossible it was to achieve. Literally, I would have obtained an excessive number of demerits within the first few days, if I were honest about my behavior. In fact, it any junior high or high school student were scrupulously honest, there is no way they would sustain enrollment. Basically, their system mandate lying. If you weren't a practiced and accomplish liar, you would not survive. Lying and hyprocrisy is what that school really taught.
