It’s far easier for “nones” to reject everything than accept any part of the church’s message. If I don’t believe I need to be saved, the church has nothing to offer—other than judgment, condemnation, and control. Whenever I hear someone saying that I need to be saved, I must suppress the urge to raise my middle finger.
It’s not that “nones” don’t believe anything. They just don’t believe any of the nonsense that Christians do. Nones believe all kinds of things, some of it crazy, but they all consider their beliefs superior to the “good word” contemporary Christians spout.
