Many people fail to grasp the significance of the fact that color is created by mind. Most people accept some form of Naive Realism where they believe what they perceive is actually "out there." Ontologically, they believe the representation in their mind is the real thing, and they don't realize it's merely a representation of the outside world with many details filled in by our Mind's expectations. Many people will read this piece and come away thinking it's an interesting oddity but fail to grasp that color points to something very deep about the relationship of our mental representations and the "real" world.
