The amount of wishful thinking in that statement is jaw-dropping. There is no way a ban on the use of any product is good for that product's value. If Chine were to ban solar panels, do you think that would be good for the solar panel market? The only reason anyone would think a ban on cryptocurrencies is a good thing is because they are choosing to remain willfully ignorant to the obvious fact that a ban is bad. A couple of billion users just stopped trading in cryptocurrencies. A radically shrinking market with no more inflows from billions of people can't possibly be a good thing in the long term.
