The handyman I employ to work on my house knows my family and that I have a special needs son. One day, the handyman's assistant brought is wife and special needs son. They stayed in a car parked on the street out of sight. I happened to see them and I invited them inside. After spending the day entertaining the wife and special needs child, my wife and I gave them a significant sum of money. I paused to ask myself if the handyman orchestrated that, but in the end, I didn't care. It wasn't a professional begging con, and the gift we provided made a significant improvement to that family's quality of care for their special needs son. The handyman later told me that he met that family because he donates wheelchairs to needy families oversees which is how me met his assistant and that family. I think that's Karma, not a con.
